Certified Massage and Bodywork Instructor
Massage/Bodywork Therapy III Program
This program leads to a Diploma as a Certified Instructor of Massage/Bodywork Therapy.
To enter the program applicants must fill out a BCI application, and show proof of the following;
1. A minimum 1000 hours professional training in Massage/Bodywork Therapy from a state approved school
2. Hold a current state license
Or
1. Have a minimum 500 hours professional training in Massage/Bodywork Therapy from a state approved school
2. Hold a current state Massage Therapy license
3. A minimum of 2 years field experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist prior to application
Students interested in instructing A&P I and A & P II (systems anatomy) or Pathology 1 instruction must previously have completed A&P I, A&P II, Biology I, and Bio-Chemistry I totaling 12 Accredited college credits
Program Objective: The objective of the instructor program is to train licensed massage therapists to acquire satisfactory skills and to demonstrate competence in all areas of massage and bodywork education. Upon satisfactory completion of the training, students will be qualified to assume entry-level positions as Massage and Bodywork Instructors.
Massage/Bodywork Therapy III Graduation Requirements
Maintain a 2.0 overall GPA, good attendance, and complete the following coursework and all required exams both written and practical. Upon graduation the students will awarded a diploma and be recognized as a Certified Instructor of Massage & Bodywork Therapy
