Prior to becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist, Kathy practiced as a registered nurse in medical settings, dental office, and then the public school system as the school nurse. She graduated from Gateway College of Massage in South Sioux City, Nebraska in 1997. Initially, Kathy ran her own massage practice and worked with a chiropractor before joining the professional team of Massage Therapists at the Mind and Body Connection of Sioux City Iowa and attended advanced classes at BCI, she is now the senior Massage Therapist at MBC. Kathy is a Reiki Master Teacher and a graduate of the Hakomi Integrative Somatics Trauma Training. She has a background in Ortho-Bionomy, Craniosacral, Fascia Energetic Movement (FEM® which she developed), Medical Massage, and is recognized as a Certified Instructor of Massage/Bodywork. Kathy was a Teachers Assistant for Massage Therapy at BCI prior to teaching. Kathy has been teaching professionally since 1999 she teaches, Swedish Massage, Intuitive Massage, Pathology, and FEM.
